GENE-STORE AND GROWING OF CUCUMIS MELO VARIETIES IN THE CLIMATE OF KHOREZM REGION

Abstract:

This article deals with the growth, vegetation and fertility of melon varieties grown in the lower Amu-darya riverarea. The results of studies on the amount of sugar in melon fruit, the size and weight of them are indicated here. The sorts of melons under research have been preserved not being planted since 1980, the afterward facts on their cultivation have been analyzed in this article.

EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF THE THERMOPHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MELATIC MEAT

Abstract:

This article presents some results of experimental studies of the thermophysical characteristics of melon pulp. The thermophysical characteristics of the pulp of melons of different varieties in the temperature range from 20 º to 70 ºС are determined. It has been established that thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity increases with increasing temperature almost linearly. Empirical expressions for the coefficients of thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity are obtained. These data will be useful in the thermal calculation of drying installations in the production of dried melon.

It is noticeable that Khorezm is a historical agrarian country, which has a high agricultural culture. The researcher N. Vavilov, studying the numerous materials gathered by the participants of the expedition, has brought more than 80 types of agricultural plants of Khorezm oasis, besides there were described characteristics of some plants.
