Abstract:

The materials of "Туркистон тўплами," which began its creation in the second half of the 19th century, provide valuable information not only about Turkestan but also neighboring regions such as Asian countries, Eastern Turkestan, West China, and Tibet. It also sheds light on the activities of British agents – pundits and munshies – involved in scientific and political research in these areas.
